Yesterday was Paris, next week Dubai.

We were in La Grande Arche de La Defense, which was, once upon a time, impressive.

Now, you can’t walk around the edge in places as it is fenced off in case bits of the building fall off!

Similarly inside it all feels run down, tired.

Even if the Eurozone is falling off a cliff, it’s a shame when landmark sites in any major city begin to suffer.

It curves out into the sea, with a drop of about eight metres down onto the rocks and shallow water below.

There are no guard rails, Danger signs or ropes and posts to stop you from tripping on the uneven paving stones and ending up in the English Channel.

Given how we are pampered and protected at every turn by Government and local Town Councils, this was an unusual (and refreshing) sight.

I mentioned this to a grizzled local who was enjoying the sun. He agreed, but then muttered “Yeah, but for how much longer?”

I’m not sure how he managed it, but he succeded in redesigning my website, setting it up on mobile platforms and this blog, whilst I bombarded him with simple, even stupid questions.

Always calm when I changed my mind (again), he was also very quick and thorough in making changes and coming up with better solutions to whatever I threw at him.

Borndigital is fairly new on the block, but they deserve to thrive. So, thank you.

Welcome to my first ever blog post.

I shall take things 1 step at a time, but hopefully will write something of interest, or even post a photograph that creates a reaction.
